Daniel Farrugia is a drummer and percussionist based in Melbourne, Australia. 

Farrugia is known for his touring and recording work with bands and artists including The Cat Empire, The Luke Howard Trio, Angus and Julia Stone, Tina Arena, The Bamboos, Felix Riebl, Harry James Angus, Mia Dyson, Missy Higgins, Renee Geyer and Tinpan Orange.

Beginning formal drum lessons at the age of 11 under the guidance of Brian Czempinski, Farrugia studied a wide variety of drumming techniques and styles throughout his years of secondary education. Farrugia undertook tertiary education at the Victorian College of the Arts and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music in improvisation performance. 

Influenced by an array of musical styles, Farrugia has developed a unique sound and ability that allows him to seamlessly blend with bands and artists across a diverse range of music genres. 

In 2018, Farrugia released the first album under his own name titled, ‘Drums & Omnichord, Amongst Other Things’. Farrugia has since released 'Replicants’ in 2021 and 'Avalanche’ in 2023.
